Hello!

I've just got a new Ikari Laser and have a problem with it:

The Button 4 ("Internet Back" button") always toggles the CPI function too. I can't get it to just act as "back" button!?

And the CPI button always acts as "back" button too. So basically the CPI and Button 4 both do the same. And they both toggle two functions (set CPI and "back").

What's up with this?

Also the software lets me choose between "Button 3" and "Button 4" functions. But in the manual I see that these should be shown as "Internet Forward" and "Internet Back" entries!?

I have a related issue, also using the optical.

I multibox wow and the cpu load is often close to 100%. Recently the Ikari has stopped responsing for shorter periods of time. At fitst I thought the optics were dusty, and spending a few secs cleaning would solve the problem, but yesterday I could not get the mouse back until I rebooted.

When its "dead" the cpi cannot be changed, though the light indicator is still on.

I have no clue for why this is happening.

#60...I'd gotten the Optical(RMA'd for refund) and got the Laser..they are the same on the bottom...so I assume that all products are like that...imo they are scratched because it is not flat when it's 1st produced...a machine has to scratch all the glides so they will all be flat...it's all good...with those glides, u won't wear out any time soon, they are HUGE...I got 4 pairs of glides though...just for backup

I just got a Ikari Laser, I'm using it on the SX pad and I suppose im a high sense gamer 3200dpi 3.0 in game, The shape defineately takes getting used to if your coming from something like a G5 and have big hands but im getting there and the comfort is improving.

I am no expert but I can confirm the lift off distance on the SX pad is VERY low especially compared to my old G5, I can just about slip my fingernail underneath before it stops tracking.

Only thing I found was that when I unboxed mine the black feet were pretty scratched, fairly deep vertical lines, anyone else experiencing this? I immeidiately ordered some new IKARI glides, I mean the glide feels slicker than my G5 on brand new SS glides but I think it will be much better on non scratched glides. Nothing worth RMA'ing over thats for sure. :)

Lift off distance. It seems all of you forgot the Ikari mice were.. let's say invented by the help of pro gamers. Do you really think 3.5 mm, 5 mm or whatever are that much? I use a MX518 and I don't know the lift off distance of it. I just play with it. That's the reason why I bought it, for gaming.

Greetz from Austria :)

mhhh, to me it is obvious that the "Ikari Optical" will have the same problem as the "Razer Deathadder" had when it was released - the lift-off distance! no one who plays with a low or a very low sens (most of the so called "pro-gamers" do) could use it... then Razer fixed the lift-off issue by releasing a new firmware and so many "top" players (others too) changed to the "Razer Deathadder". so here is my question: why not releasing a firmware that reduceses the lift-off distance, anyone who thinks he needs this firmware can install it - every other player that does not need it will not install this new firmware - and most important everybody will be happy!
