French SteelSeries: KoTH announced

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Since December 2007 when SteelSeries: King of The Hill was first announced in the US via GotFrag.com, we have steadily been expanding the concept to other parts of the globe.

This week we revealed a partnership with EsportsFrance in order for France to be our latest addition to the number of countries, offering the local gaming community a chance to get on top of the hill.

At the moment, SteelSeries: King of The Hill is available in the current countries:

For those that don’t know: SteelSeries: King of The Hill is a unique tournament, spanning across different types of games with the same concept. Sign-ups are open to all teams regardless of skill level and via voting, the local community is in charge of deciding which team gets to challenge the currently hill-ruling team in the weekly or bi-weekly KoTH match.

Sign up your local team today or contact us if you believe SteelSeries: KoTH should be available in your country!

Miou-signed SteelSeries SP competition**

Friday, October 17th, 2008

When digging through some product in the basement of the SteelSeries headquarters, I came across a SteelSeries SP signed by Daniel ”Miou” Holthuis, the German all-star Warcraft III player from SK Gaming. This mousepad, along with a bunch of other autographed products, were signed a couple of months ago by our sponsored teams for a charity auction and we ended up having a few leftovers.

Miou signed two gaming surfaces whereof one of them was sold on Ebay for the acution – which means that this is the very last sample.

Back on track

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

As some of you might know, we acquired Canadian based Ideazon (most commonly known for the line of Zboard keyboards) a couple of months ago. Along with an acquisition comes a hell of a lot work – hard, but enjoyable and exciting work. Add this to the undermanned summer period and we’re pretty much back to when we last updated this blog.

In order to get things straight, I’m going to run over a few things that has happened since we last showed sign of life here:

1. Our little, precious piece of ultimate MMO hardware, the World of Warcraft® MMO Gaming Mouse, showed its curves and features to the public last weekend in our booth at BlizzCon 2008.

More pictures and info about this baby as well as our newly announced WotLK gaming gear is available here – oh yeah, and pre-order is possible.
