SteelSeries celebrates availability at GameStation

The UK market has always been an interesting territory for SteelSeries, so we figured that we wanted to do something a little bit special for the englishmen since our products are currently rolling out to selected GameStation stores.

Targeting the World of Warcraft: WotLK midnight launch in the brand new GameStation store in Birmingham, we are bringing along two very well-known faces on the UK professional gaming scene - both MMO and FPS wise.

Simon “Xom” Palmer will be with SteelSeries at the GameStation store - here he is at the Extreme Masters event in Montreal, where his team ended up taking 1st place and $15.000.

First off, we are very happy to be able to bring along SK Gaming’s professional WoW PvP player, Simon “Xom” Palmer. The visitors will be able to see Simon play a little bit of WoW (fingers crossed that the servers are running smoothly), ask him questions regarding his team and the tournaments he played, get his comments on the new WoW title or even get your newly purchased copy of the expansion autographed.

20-year old, Tom “url” Chenery will be taking challenges from visitors wanting to at least try to get a kill or two.

On the FPS-side and visiting the store as well, we have the professional Counter-Strike: Source player, Tom “url” Chenery from the CGS franchise, London Mint. Tom will be giving the visitors a chance to step up their game, challenge him in a 1vs1 match and possibly win some awesome SteelSeries prizes. Furthermore, Tom is bringing along London Mint’s General Manager, Ben Woodward.

To sum up, here are the details on the event:

    Date:
    12th of November, 2008
    Time:
    22:00 - 01:00
    Place:
    GameStation Birmingham
    Address:
138 New Street, City Centre, Birmingham
    Professional gamers attending:
Tom “url” Chenery (CS:S - London Mint)
Simon “Xom” Palmer (WoW PvP - SK Gaming)

We hope to see some of you guys there - have a great day. :)

/Casper
