Regarding Mac drivers for the WoW Mouse
A fair amount of World of Warcraft players prefer using Mac and therefore it is unfortunate for some, that the WoW MMO Gaming Mouse software is not available for Mac - yet.
For those World of Warcraft players who prefer using Mac, rest assured that we are working aggressively with Blizzard to develop a strategy for providing robust support for the WoW MMO Gaming Mouse and as soon it’s available we will of course let you know.
In the meantime ControllerMate is your savior, and it just recently (December 2008) got updated to be compatible with the WoW MMO Gaming Mouse.
Latest changelog:
-
- Added compatibility with the World of Warcraft MMO Gaming Mouse. ControllerMate can control the mouse resolution as well as the LED color, intensity, and pulse rate.
- Fixed a bug that caused excessive CPU use by the helper application in certain situations.
- Fixed a bug that prevented ControllerMate from properly applying mouse or keyboard customizations in certain situations.
Have in mind that ControllerMate is not free. Consider this only a heads-up on a temporary option for Mac WoW players who own, or want to buy this mouse.

LOL release the mouse 1st please. Then I will worry about the drivers.
Sheeh why should you wast time on drivers when you cannot even fulfill your orders for the mouse?
IMO you need to divert funds from the software team to the manufacturing.

Yeah it would be nice if you first released the mouse to us PC-fans, I been waiting since 12 september 2008 for my mouse from webhallen in Sweden!
This is ridiculous.

Hey dont listen to them!
I was lucky enough to get my mouse today from gamestop! I use a mac so please release the drivers soon!

Its just small idea, but can be useful, first make working drivers for Windows (and whole software for WoW), sorry but for now it doesnt work. Without this software mouse is working but I have only 5 buttons working in WoW (without macros), when I install software from steelseries webpage, mouse is working for 20-30 sec then its stop to working for 5 minutes, after this time it works again for 20-30 sec and again..again..(unplug and plug in helps a bit, I dont have to wait 5 minutes :P). Until you dont release working software this mouse is waste of money.
Disapointed user of Steelseries WoW Mouse

This company has proven they are only out for your money and they will stop at nothing to get it. NEWS FLASH, by scamming people over and over, they will lose all the money they have scammed out of people and any furture money they may have received for this so called mouse!!! I see law suits coming and for good reasons!! This company needs to be closed down!!

June 7th, 2009 21:11
When is the release date for the Mac Driver?
June 29th, 2009 00:01
Are you serious? This is a complete joke
July 17th, 2009 12:38
OKAY this is starting to get rediculous… you do realize you deliberately lied to your customers who bought your expensive mouse… this is what we call bad customer satisfaction. I could probably find a high school student with the knowledge to create a simple working driver for a mouse within a year… lets be realistic here do you think we forgot? we’re sitting here with these useless mice which we can’t use to full potential because of your carelessness. Those of us who lost the receipt are screwed… please, PLEASE if you really care about your company get off your ass and release this driver for mac users already… you said it would be out in JANUARY and now it’s JULY!! August is coming friends are you going to make us wait till then too?
July 17th, 2009 12:42
HELLO?! ANYONE IN THERE?????????
July 17th, 2009 12:46
drivers please? i spent $99 on this mouse… do you hate macs or something?
July 17th, 2009 12:50
this is terrible customer service are you against using mac computers?
July 23rd, 2009 15:41
WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK! I BOUGHT IT SO I CAN BIND SPELLS, AND ONLY 3 BUTTONS ARE BINDABLE. I USE A MAC, AND HAVE A PC AS WELL…STEELSERIES DRIVERS ARE PIECE OF SHIT. WHAT A $99.99 PIECE OF JUNK!!!!
TIP: YOU GUYS NEED TO DEVELOP A BETTER MOUSE.

Thank you for sharing this. I am a great fan of WoW and I am using it with my windows vista. I’m a wow fan, i love wow and i have played it for 5 years now. For me the game got the best possible gameplay, with the deepest lore. I have tried other game, aion, df, war, lotro but they didnt catch me, and i’ve ALWAYS returned to wow. Also, I enjoy playing WoW and Getting Free WoW Game Card from the internet .

Hey to everyone, now SS has shown that they dont really care about there customers and i will say they have lost my business not only as a gamer but as a developer as well. now they did say with the 3.3 patch u can set up the key bindings in game on the mac. now this may not be the driver we wished for so we can set the colors and the other settings but its all we can ask for at this time. the fact is Mac is easier for development than PC so if they would make a driver it would be done by now. the fact is they are just wanted blizzard to do all the work for them. but i will say they should have had the business ethics to comment on this and tell you themselves but you can get blood out of a brain dead company

Over a year now, still no Mac drivers.
I dont think any development is being done for this device.
I love having a 15 button mouse where only 4 are usable…
needless to say, i will not be buying any more steelseries products.
