Top DotA teams to thank Icefrog

In case you are not completely integrated in the DotA scene or actually read what is on your loading screen when entering the game, Icefrog is the creator of the WC3 add-on. I mean, _THE_ creator. Basically, what started out as a hobby project has now come to be a game whose popularity continues to grow at a steady rate, as well as being recognized by the biggest e-sport event organizers around the World.

As mentioned earlier here on the blog, the DL Masters went down in Germany last month and in between matches, the absolute top European teams and the largest European DotA community site, DotA-League, decided to give Icefrog a special treat to thank him for his efforts.

The gift was shipped to Icefrog after the event - this is what he unwrapped yesterday:

“Thanks Icefrog for a game that makes all this possible. Special thanks from all the players and of course dota-league.com”.

- signed by a total of 37 top DotA players, from the likes of SK Gaming, MYM, eSuba, KS.Int and MET.

Quoting Icefrog: “I cannot explain how grateful and excited I was to get this. Thanks a lot, it makes it all worthwhile :)”. Brilliant idea by DotA-League and the players - and thank you Icefrog.
