Finally, though It’s a fact that it’s a shame tbh that a professional gaming company like you, Steelseries didn’t put these highend teflon feet standard under the xai and kinzu..

“stand alone product” to me means that they are the same like the original ones that come with the mice…

Was gonna get the kinzu, but the comments on pos. accel scared me off, just love how ss treats their customers, put on inferior teflon feets on the retail product and sell better ones as aftermarket accesories, said in their post that they acknowledge the positive accel on the kinzu, but didnt made a point to fix it. And supposedly this casper dude is just some fella hired by ss to write blogs but not respond to customers complaining, go ahead ss, go and ruin your reputation more. kthxbye

Excuse me, i just bought Xai mouse 2 days ago, and with it a Steelseries SP. When i use the mouse on the MAT it “spikelags” like if it cant run on plastic.? When i use it on my old Qck it works fine.
So whats the problem here?, i got glides on etc.. Is Xai mouse weak for plastic?

Sam:
You can’t expect SteelSeries to reply to support issues at a blog. Submit a support ticket, and you will have an answer to it but probably not a solution. Every ticket I have ever submitted was eventually responded to.

this available in my country? Indonesia?

this is a little bit strange. can’t you just put good feet from the start?

@fulger
This is steelseries - of course they won’t do that. That’s in the interest of the customer, not the company ;)

#Sam, I am by no means hired by SteelSeries only to write this blog - it’s a tiny part of my responsibility within the company to keep the blog updated.
And no - I don’t spend time answering on product complaints on the blog. As mentioned, honestly, a million times before on this blog, we have a full-time support department for this matter. You’ll find it under “Contact” on our website.

Casper, I’m not trying to flame or destry ss’s image, but don’t you guys think that you owe xai and kinzu users a explanation, if u read the comments on the past few blog post, you’ll notice that ss’s support isn’t good enough, they dont respond or reply on any of the positive acceleration issues, random dpi issues(switching), macros not working properly, not able to control the settings on correction, i dont even feel like mentioning the post and topics on esr, gotfrag or even some chinese forums, the issues are so wide spread and there is no official comment by ss.
I mean yeah this blog isnt a correct to look for support, but do you guys have to be that legalistic? Will any casual comments on issues about you products do hard to the company your working for? I think we customers would be alot happier if we get any sort of official comment about the issues we’re having, preferably technical one, interaction on firmware options, get some r&d guys to interact with users here, we would be more then happy to help out sorting issues and helping on future product development. Ask just about any other user here if they agree with my stand?
Again i mean no offend or nor do i have the xai/kinzu, still sitting on the fence thinking wheter to get one but yeah, please to talk to some of your superiors about having more interaction here, we would be more then happy to hear from you, btw tell arnie that his post here was awsome, do post more and if possible, go into the details and give us gamers the best experience possible, quality and consistency for games thru precision devices, that was the stand of Steelseries in the past, right? Hope it is in the future too, again apologies if I have said anythign wrong.

Tsk tsk.. guys. Learn to read first, will ya?
Teflons are same as those already on Kinzu/Xai.
Xai works great on SX, and Im sure it will on 4HD/9HD (tough I ordered Puretrak for that). But if you want good pad, get SX.
About teflons, well I would love if SS either buy Hyperglide, or at least learn how to make that good glides. Cause they are best. Period.
Tough still not available for Xai..

They are by far not the same. I have replaced my kinzu ones with Steelseries MS ( intelli ) glides and they are WAY better.

I bought a Kinzu last week and I have to say that the standart mousefeet are really really bad. I play on Qck and played with Razer Krait before. When I compare these two mice then I definitly go for the Krait. I ordered the ss gliedes. See if it works better than. The Kinzu is nice anyway, but the mousefeet su**s hard imo.
Even cellotape was smoother than the original mousefeet. SS FAIL!

So, quick update. The mouse glides (original SS Kinzu Glides) arrived today. Now the mouse glides perfectly on my Qck+. But now I have big trouble playing CounterStrike. The mouse sensor seems to now working correctly. When I move left or right the Crosshair moves in wavelines. So its not possible to look around in a direct line. When I move the mouse fast the crosshair goes up or down even though I play on high sensitivity. I wrote a support ticked already. I want to know if this can be fixed or if its a sensor problem. Would be nice to know cause if its a sensor problem I would give it back to the store. So far, have a nice day.

Ok, next post. Now, I removed the retail mousefeet and replaced them with the SS Kinzu glides. The friction is now a little bit more, but he optical sensor problem is fixed. Ofcourse now the garanty is gone :/ But now the mouse is awesome for me. :D
