LanOC just published their review of the SteelSeries 7H headset, concluding in both a Recommended- and Editor’s Choice Award. Here’s a few quotes from reviewer Wes Compton:
“The audio quality of the 7H when listening to music was truly impressive. In game it was no different. Not only was the audio quality top notch but the directionality in game is great as well. The 7H’s audio quality is where it shows why this is Steel Series’s flagship headset. In fact my biggest problem was finding MP3’s of the higher quality in my collection.”
“At just under $130 this isn’t a cheap headset but you are no doubt getting your money’s worth.”
The $22,500 GameGune Counter-Strike tournament is well underway, with Fnatic cruising undefeated through group play and into playoffs. This is their first event sporting the SteelSeries 7H headset - check a few pics below:

YouTuber/blogger LinusTechTips recently posted up one of the first English unboxing videos of the SteelSeries 7H USB. While we love the thoroughness of this guys’ videos, we also like the fact that his tiger-ish cat is testing the anti-ghosting feature of his SteelSeries 7G keyboard.
In case you’ve been sleeping/hiding/raiding/fragging/sunbathing(?) under a rock for the past month, the SteelSeries Spectrum 4xb and 5xb headsets are our recently released headsets for Xbox 360 gamers (check out the announcement here).
SteelSeries Spectrum AudioMixer pictures will follow.
Across Europe, the first SteelSeries 7H reviews are popping up and I figured I’d give you guys a rundown below. I realize that some of you might not be fluent in the languages, so I translated the conclusions - and, understandable or not, each review features awesome detailed shots of the 7H, worth checking out as well. :-)

Asking professional gamers what they need, culminated in this awesome headset. There’s nothing more to add - SteelSeries did a pretty good job here. From me, this headset gets a purchasing recommendation and it’s a must-have for every professional gamer, or for everyone who is looking for a new headset. It is an investment that last for a long time and you won’t find a better headset anywhere.

SteelSeries 7H contains good and practical improvements and can easily be described as a regular upgrade to the 5Hv2. Only a very few little things have surprised me en route, such as missing labeling of female plugs on the extension cords, and perhaps the coupling of the earcups could have been practical and solid. The price over at SteelSeries is 99,99 EUR which corresponds to 745 DKK. This means that, if Googled well, you might be able to find the headset online in the range of 600 DKK which pretty much is todays’ average price of a gaming headset, that is also expected to perform it comes to music, movies and voice chat - and the 7H does just that.
“We have a true favorite in the 7H, even though we find it to be powerful than the Siberia v2. The comfort, isolation, quality and finish are simply perfect. The microphone, although sensitive to adjustments, is an excellent model. Everything is priced at 100 euros only and, despite some flaws, we assign five stars.”

“All three reviewers liked the comfy feeling of the 7H; the relatively high pressure ensures a tight fit without annoyance due to soft padding[…]
With a powerful bass, that leaves space for sophisticated high and detailed mid tones, the 7H is very well suitable for gaming and music…”
